I'm not sure there is a generally recognized "right to be taxed" so equating policies related to taxation to policies related to privacy probably isn't the best base from which to build.

However, ignoring that, my impression of the points you posted was that they were making the observation that there is  increasing difficulty in trying to force a global infrastructure square peg into the round hole of parochial nation-state regulatory regimes.  I don't disagree since this has been pretty obvious since the collapse of the telecom settlements regime in the mid-90s. However, nation-states refuse to go away, thus I'm left with the question that I asked you previously: which government's regulations do you believe should apply?

An alternative could be evidenced by the fact that even without government intervention, Instagram lost 25% of its active user base as a result of their attempted change of their terms of service (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/business/rage_against_Dh05rPifiXBIJRE1rCOyML).
