Indeed, I was suggesting it *should* be allowed - ie no problem someone
moving between ICANN & ISOC. (In both cases their secretariat or board,
of course; I don't think either of us are talking about restrictions on
the wider membership).

There's quite a demand for this (I've lost count of the number of
adverts for regulatory positions in private industry where a previous
spell in a relevant government department or regulator's office is
listed).
