Dear All,

There is a general consensus during the consultations that the subscribers
are in favour of the following:-

   - merging the list and website;
   - hosting the list and website on an independent server;
   - fundraising to allow for the transition

Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion on the matter.

Kindly note, that Members will not have to re-subscribe to the new mailing
list and there will be a seamless transition. This is what our web
administrators have advised.

In terms of payment options, feedback from the List is that the online
payment system should be something that is tried and tested such as Paypal
which can be used to transfer the necessary funds to the hosting company.
The co-coordinators will be responsible for administering the funds for the
purpose of merging the website and the mailing list and transition costs
and reporting back to the List on how the funds are utilised.

Yehuda Katz offered two domains from this
list[1]<file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/s.tamanikaiwaimaro/My%20Documents/IGF/Summary%20of%20Things%20IGC%20List%20Proposal%20to%20Merge%20Website%20and%20Server.doc#_ftn1>.
Avri Doria advised the List of her intention to continue supporting the DNS
entry for igcaucus.org and will reconfigure it to whatever is needed. Avri
also advised that third level names could also be developed.

There were some comments on the structure of the IGC but the consultations
are limited to the proposal and merger of the website and the mailing list
but the comments were noted.It was *critical* that we consulted the list
because of potential implications to the IGC in the future and the decision
had to come from the List through consensus. This will be for another
thread on another day :)

Thank you.

Izumi & Sala
