I just checked and the Wikipedia entry on it is quite good (although
very US-centric in the Deployment section). Pay special attention to
the sections Overview and Deployment.

Using Google to search "dnssec" is of course a very bad idea: you can
find anything, from the good to the bad, or, simply, to the very
technical and difficult to read.
