[governance] Halal Search Engine

Doesn't sound much different to me to the Mammon search engine (aka Google)
which includes in its search algorithms higher ratings for those who pay for
certain types of advertising services though the same company.

But as we get beyond names for identifying sites to a greater reliance on
search results there is an issue here as regards truth in search results
reporting. As the search engine becomes our primary means of identifying
news or information on any given subject, to what degree should religious or
political beliefs or monetary considerations of search engine owners play a
part in the results reported?

We are in danger of becoming like mainstream media here, where these
distortions are common. I guess we all hoped for something better....
