Such initiatives may be helpful in reaching out to a larger audience and do
make search a bit easier but also remind us of some of the avoidable
duplication of efforts that is going on.. Its relevance to moving up the
learning curve for organizations and individuals engaged in these efforts
can hardly be over estimated. However, the need of the hour for initiatives
at the national level may be to go beyond the obvious and explore the next
stages in moving up the curve easier by an order of magnitude.
