It's actually quite simple, and I think Avri summarised it well.

going to try and use a nomcom process again and that is that we follow
the rules:"

That's the "basic" issue, as much as some would like it not to be.
I would be happy to participate in a sub-group to sort out the issue that
Parminder thinks is "the real" issue" AFTER we sort out our procedural one.
