Hi Milton,
I fear no such forces, just think they're there and that under the
circumstances, hard power can only be offset by soft power. It's not
obvious that those opposed to the status quo have mustered the latter, e.g.
by making a clear and operationally well defined case for an alternative,
and by aggressively and strategically promoting it. Given that it's been
difficult to really launch a conversation about what such a case might
entail, here much less than with other stakeholders, it's hard to see how
this changes in a year. So sure, I'll be happy to take your 50 bucks, which
by then should be worth about 20 francs, enough here for a pizza with no
toppings.
