McTim:
This came in under a different heading --

The Internet Governance Project has been focusing on critical internet
resources from a critical perspective for some time. Experts associated
with it include myself, Brenden Kuerbis (who will lead a panel on DNSSEC
in Rio), Jeanette Hofmann, Lee McKnight and Hans Klein.

I note that almost all the other speaker suggestions are associated with
vested interests in critical internet resources (IANA, ISOC, RIRs). This
is not criticism of those people, nor is it intended to suggest that
such people, who are often very knowledgeable and have good ideas,
should not be represented. But it would be a travesty of an independent
and open dialogue if the only people given a voice on such a panel were
the people who have their own institutions and organizations and their
policies to defend. We need some independent perspectives.
