[bestbits] Final list of accepted IGF workshops

Hi Farzaneh,

Yes. The call for issues was part of the criteria used to structure the program, as well as the criteria for workshop selection that was available at the time of the application. Information around the process to review the proposals and analysis os themes, subthemes and the call for issues is available on this link https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/index.php?q=filedepot_download/6701/1279 (prepared by the secretariat as input for the MAG).

The thing is that there is not much the MAG can do if there are no workshop proposals submitted addressing some or any of the issues raised.

If you have a more specific comment and constructive suggestions about what was not addressed, it will be good to know as there are a few other pieces of the program that are still being worked at (like the main sessions) so we don’t have the full picture of the program yet.

Regards,

Sylvia

Very interesting. It has become trendy to talk about AI and Blockchain while the real policy implications of both on internet governance entail broader issues. Fancy tools - fancy programs.

Also, did MAG pay attention to the result of its own call for issues? Doesn't look like it.

Interesting divergence from the RightsCon calendar. It had a ton on Internet users' free expression rights and platforms, while IGF will have very little.
