Hi all,

Red en Defensa de los Derechos Digitales and the Electronic Frontier Foundation would like to invite  you to our workshop "Surveillance and International Human Rights Law" that will take place tomorrow Thursday December 8, 2016 from3pm to 4pm at Workshop Room 4.

  The participants are Peter Kimpian (Data Protection Unit - Council of Europe), Amos Toh (‎Legal Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression), Katitza Rodriguez (Electronic Frontier Foundation), Arjun Jayakumar (Policy Director at SFLC, India),  María Cristina Capelo (Google Mexico), and Luis Fernando Garcia from R3D.

The idea of the panel is to explore how different human rights systems are approaching surveillance. Which principles have been developed in those systems, which are the latest developments and challenges.
