- The Internet's economic power has more than doubled since 2007, the
Internet Association estimates in a new report out this morning, The Web
contributed $966 billion to the U.S. GDP in 2014, IA estimates, compared to
$438 billion in 2007. That contribution outpaces the telecom, construction,
