<div class="plain_line">The process should be straightforward enough, but below is a detailed</div>
<div class="plain_line">explanation you might wish to review before voting.</div><div class="plain_line"><br /></div><div class="plain_line"><div><div class="plain"><div id="x91b16fb8b9904dd"><div class="plain_line">NOTE: We are aware of a recent glitch in the LimeSurvey Software being</div><div class="plain_line">used for the ballot which might affect a small number of users.</div><div class="plain_line">It appears to be confined to some configurations of Firefox browser:</div><div class="plain_line">if you do encounter errors, you might like to try using another</div><div class="plain_line">browser or another device to complete your vote. But if you still have</div><div class="plain_line">problems after that, please contact us and we will find a way to allow</div><div class="plain_line">you to register your vote.</div></div></div></div></div>

<div class="plain_line">The voting invitation email includes a link to your personalized</div>
<div class="plain_line">voting page. Please do not share it.</div>

<div class="plain_line">If you have subscribed the list several times you may receive multiple</div>
<div class="plain_line">voting invitations, but you may only use one.</div>
<div class="plain_line"> </div>
<div class="plain_line">Do not use your browser's Back button at any time during the voting</div>
<div class="plain_line">process. It will confuse the system. (If that happens, start over with</div>
<div class="plain_line">the original link in the email.)</div>

<div class="plain_line">You will first be asked to enter your name: we need it for IGC</div>
<div class="plain_line">membership list, which will be published after the election is over.</div>
<div class="plain_line">(Your email address will not be published, only your name.)</div>

<div class="plain_line">Then you will have to verify your eligibility by confirming that</div>
<div class="plain_line">(1) you identify as a member of the civil society,</div>
<div class="plain_line">(2) you subscribe to the Charter of IGC,</div>
<div class="plain_line">(3) you haven't yet voted with another email address and</div>
<div class="plain_line">(4) you have been subscribed to the IGC mailing list for 2 months.</div>

<div class="plain_line">If you do not agree to one or more of those, you cannot vote. In that</div>
<div class="plain_line">case you could just ignore the voting invitation to begin with, or</div>
<div class="plain_line">stop here, or click Next to technically complete the poll (you should</div>
<div class="plain_line">do that if you made a mistake and want to start over).</div>

<div class="plain_line">After verifying your eligibility you will get to the Voting page,</div>
<div class="plain_line">where you'll see the candidates with checkboxes next to them.</div>
<div class="plain_line">You can select one or two, or "none of the above."</div>

<div class="plain_line">Due to technical limitations of the software used you can also check</div>
<div class="plain_line">one candidate and "none of the above": the effect will be same as if</div>
<div class="plain_line">you'd just selected one candidate. In any case the "none of the above"</div>
<div class="plain_line">votes do not affect the results, the option is there only to allow</div>
<div class="plain_line">people to remain IGC members even when they have no preference on the</div>
<div class="plain_line">candidates.</div>

<div class="plain_line">Note: this is not a preferential voting system: if you select two</div>
<div class="plain_line">candidates, both will get one vote of equal value.</div>

<div class="plain_line">After making your selection click "Next" and you'll get to</div>
<div class="plain_line">Confirmation page. Click "Submit" there to send in your vote.</div>

<div class="plain_line">You should receive confirmation email within a few minutes.</div>

<div class="plain_line">If you make a mistake, whether in the verification or voting page, or</div>
<div class="plain_line">if you simply change your mind, you can vote again using the same link</div>
<div class="plain_line">(it will also be in the confirmation message). Only the last time will</div>
