The lecture commenced with welcoming remarks from <strong>Michael Møller</strong>, Director-General, UN Geneva, and <strong>Nikhil Set</strong>h, Executive Director, UNITAR. <strong>Brad Smith</strong>, President and Chief Legal Officer of Microsoft, delivered keynote remarks in which he proposed a <strong><a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cybersecurity/content-hub/a-digital-geneva-convention-to-protect-cyberspace" style="color:rgb(52,120,227);text-decoration-line:none">Digital Geneva Convention</a></strong> to forestall cyberwars by nation-states. He was then joined for a more general Internet governance discussion by <strong>Kate Gilmore</strong>, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR),and <strong>Phillip Spoerri</strong>, Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to the United Nations in New York.
