opening up nominations for a new Internet Governance Caucus (IGC)<br>
representative on the Civil Society Coordination Group (CSCG).<br>

The new IGC Rep will serve for a period of 2 years starting September 2016<br>
(to September 2018) and I will be stepping down from this role next year<br>
(in September 2017) after we have elected a new Co-coordinator in<br>
replacement of Analia (whose term expires in January 2017).<br>

*Description: *<span class=""><br>
<br>
This position will not always require much of your time though it can<br>
happen during Nomcoms or working groups. So we need someone who knows a lot<br>
about IGF, MAG selection process and understands civil society in the IG<br>
area as a whole. We need someone who has been active on the IGC for quite a<br>
while and who can speak our positions.<br>

Nomination opens: August 17th, 2016 (Nomination ends: August 31st, 2016)<br>

The duties of members are to:<br>

1. Consider the interests of civil society as a whole,<br>

Note this will be open (candidates sending their SOI directly to the<br>
list). Members are allowed to show support for a specific candidate in<br>
forms of +1s if you wish too.<br>

You can nominate yourself (self nomination) or you can nominate someone<br>
(please make sure you have informed the candidate of your intention to do<br>
so before sending in their name). If you are nominating someone, we will<br>
need you to state why you think they qualify for this position. The<br>
nominated person will need to confirm their nomination within the same<br>
nomination period.<br>
