<p class="MsoNormal">As <a href="http://lists.igcaucus.org/arc/governance/2016-08/msg00059.html"><u>promised</u></a>, we are opening up nominations for a new
Internet Governance Caucus (IGC) representative on the Civil Society
Coordination Group (CSCG). <br></p><p class="MsoNormal">For more info about the job of the CSCG, please do
refer to <a href="http://internetgov-cs.org/">their website</a>.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The new IGC Rep will serve for a period of 2 years starting
September 2016 (to September 2018) and I will be stepping down from this role next
year (in September 2017) after we have elected a new Co-coordinator in
replacement of Analia (whose term expires in January 2017).</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Description: </b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This position will not always require much of your time
though it can happen during Nomcoms or working groups. So we need someone who
knows a lot about IGF, MAG selection process and understands civil society in the
IG area as a whole. We need someone who has been active on the IGC for quite a
while and who can speak our positions.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Suggested time line:</b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Nomination opens: August 17^th, 2016 (Nomination ends:
August 31^st, 2016)</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Vote opens: September 2^nd, 2016 (Vote closes:
September 7^th 2016)</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Results announced: September 10^th, 2016</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Role of
Representatives:</b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal">The duties of members are to:</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal">1. Consider the interests of civil society as a whole,</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal">2. Serve on Nomcoms regularly as required,</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal">3. Communicate with their coalitions on CSCG developments.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">Nomination Process:</b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Note this will be open (candidates sending their SOI directly
to the list). Members are allowed to show support for a specific candidate in
forms of +1s if you wish too.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You can nominate yourself (self nomination) or you can
nominate someone (please make sure you have informed the candidate of your
intention to do so before sending in their name). If you are nominating
someone, we will need you to state why you think they qualify for this
position. The nominated person will need to confirm their nomination within the
same nomination period.</p>
