<p><span style="font-size: small;">If course I strongly suppport this new initiative of the HR Council for "binding international norms on human rights responsibilities of TNCs. And, as a Deveoped Country citizen, I profoundly regret and oppose the support given by my country, France, to the US led offensive against these norms. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">But I also question China's rallying support of HR norms !</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">This must lead CS to a balanced critical approach on these norms, both in their wordings and in their applications. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">I have some sad examples in mind from chinese ICT corporations -ZTE ans Huawei, both strongly linked to the State- working in Africa. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">Another important point is tax evasion or tax avoidance that deprives poor countries from legitimate revenues for providing essential services (Food, health, education) : this is also to be considered as an attempt agains HR !</span></p>
