<a name="_GoBack"></a>Do not worry: ICANN is the symbol of global IG
statUS-quo, the same as ISOC is the symbol for TCP/IP architectural
statUS-quo. There is no "move forward" by them, there are only
attempted tricks sideward (RFC 6852, Montevideo Statement, Brazilian
Summit). This is why the whole thing now is for us to make believed or
accepted that these attempted tricks sideward were genuine steps forward
and that without our help what ICANN "loyally wants" will not
happen - because they still lack a lot of know-how in an area that is so
new to them. <br>

In this way we will make them needing us to participate: they want to
sell the world what they say we want. <br><br>

Just to state officially what is in fact obvious: In view of the
objections that have been raised, IGC clearly does not have
consensus to send the current draft letter, nor does there seem
to be a way forward to reach consensus by means of the kind of
minor changes that could reasonably be undertaken at this late
point in time in relation to the timeframe implied in the original
idea of sending a letter early this week.
So this particular consensus process ends here with the result of “no
consensus”.
