Further, at least on your initial criteria of "contributing to the building of the Internet" (which I think, at this time of a degree of technical "maturity" of the Internet, is perhaps an even more appropriate one), I would anticipate being highly commendable as a representative of the "technical/academic" community including to the WG on EC.
