font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;">"There should be stable and predictable funding to cover remote participation management and technical expenses in order to avoid relying solely on voluntary work. The Secretariat and the host country should work together to ensure the availability of adequate technical and human resources, including remote moderator". Stable and apropriate funding need to be available for RP to work. Part of the reason why quality of remote participation is variable from year to year is that funding is also unreliable and variable. Remote participation has become so important it should not depend of the availability of volunteers.</div>

modalities including open consultations, MAG, and Secretariat.<br>

We almost reached the consensus of MAG selection, not establish new<br>
Trusted group or Selection committee, but preserve the current<br>
practice, three stakeholder groups make nominations, and SG will<br>
select - with emphasis on diversity etc.<br>

Additional suggestion to define MAG's Terms of Reference was also dropped.<br>
<br>
Then we discussed about the IGF Secretariat, and the argument was<br>
around "independence".<br>
Final wording agreed was, "independent of any stakeholder group's<br>
interest" - something like that.<br>
Other editorial and other points were also discussed.<br>
<br>
We finished Point B now, (at 12:15 pm), and moving to Point. C,<br>
Funding, the most contentious<br>
part.<br>
