<DIV>I joined this list a few weeks ago at the invitation of Sylvia
Caras. I am just beginning to read emails and will sit back and try to get
the lay of the land before further posting or asking questions.</DIV>

<DIV>I am interested in the subject of internet governance as a result of my
involvement in the International Disability Caucus as a volunteer as
a United Nations Representative of MindFreedom International (<A
href="http://www.mindfreedom.org">www.mindfreedom.org</A>) regarding the
negotiations on the new United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities. I am also a member of the World Network of Users and
Survivors of Psychiatry (<A href="http://www.wnusp.net">www.wnusp.net</A>) and
am a founding member of the Ithaca Mental Patients Advocacy Coalition (in
Ithaca, New York, USA). I am also a moderator of a new list for the
International Network of Women with Disabilities. By default, we are
primarily using Yahoo Groups to communicate with each other. Issues have
arisen regarding how to use the Yahoo structure in an egalitarian manner.
We are continuing to struggle with these issues. I look forward to
educating myself regarding these issues as well as others that arise on this
list. </DIV>
