Muthusamy</a> immensely values the fundamental principles of the Internet.
His interest in the growth and evolution of the Internet stems from an innate
desire to contribute very significantly to the world at large on a macro level.
It began in 1991 when he was one of the four delegates from <st1:country-region
w:st="on">India</st1:country-region> to the International Model United Nations
organized by the Junior Chambers International and held at the UN General
Assembly Hall in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:State>
where he introduced a spiritedly debated draft resolution to strengthen the <a
href="http://wealthyworld.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2007-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2008-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&max-results=2">United
Nations</a>. One of his early papers on the Internet Architecture issues sent
as a mail to W3C proposed "<a
href="http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-tag/2006Nov/0095.html">Costume
Party Model</a>" for "Reconciling Society's Concerns for Privacy with
the imperative of Authentication" - an idea that he now <a
href="http://wealthyworld.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-uploaded-this-video-at-you-tube-booth.html">considers
imperfect</a>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoBodyText style='margin-bottom:14.15pt'><font size=3
face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt'> His interest
in "universal prosperity" remained latent as his career path occupied
him in business as an entrepreneur, but he became involved in the Internet
after he became a member of the Internet Society. He started the <a name=qlbz></a><a
href="http://isocmadras.blogspot.com/">ISOC India Chennai</a> chapter which was
chartered in June 2007, the chapter became an at-Large structure as well. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoBodyText><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span
style='font-size:12.0pt'> He has taken part in the OECD Ministerial
Meeting on the Future of Internet Economy at <st1:City w:st="on">Seoul</st1:City>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">Korea</st1:country-region>, and took part at the
APNIC 24 and SANOG events in <st1:City w:st="on">New Delhi</st1:City> and more
recently at the Internet Governance Forum at <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Hyderabad</st1:place></st1:City>. As a person who believes in
a well <a href="http://intgovforum.org/forum/index.php?topic=446.0">balanced
system of Governance </a>in its <a
href="http://isocmadras.blogspot.com/2008/09/one-web-day.html">minimal form</a>,
he became involved in the Internet Governance Caucus to contribute to the Civil
Society's role in the evolution and governance of the Internet.<br>

As a member of the Civil Society he believes that in essence the Civil Society is
in agreement within on most issues, and that differences tend to arise
largely in expression and interpretation. He also believes that this unity of
purpose is true in the larger arena where all stakeholders, with the exception
of a few interests, are in agreement that the Internet is valuable, that
it needs to evolve further as a free and open medium. He believes that there
would be greater agreement among stakeholders with greater receptiveness to the
concerns of one another. He believes that there can be a solution acceptable to
all stakeholders who have conflicting interests. He is working on concepts that
would further the Internet Model as the world moves towards the next billions
of Internet Users and a richer Internet. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

contributing to the policy sphere, and with this purpose he is learning more
and more about the Internet issues so as to constantly correct himself and to

Foundation's <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Internet</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Governance</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Capacity</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Building</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> program and
wishes to advance further on this learning path with a view to gain an in-depth
of knowledge on Internet issues and to take part in the Internet Governance

w:st="on">Germany</st1:place></st1:country-region>. He has traveled widely in

Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Tanzania, visited the United States, Canada,
