However, contradicting myself, a quick glance at the list of "types of
traffic" in COX Frequently Asked Questions at
http://www.cox.com/policy/congestionmanagement/, there are at least a
couple of categories that do not at first glance lend themselves to
easy categorisation via shallow packet inspection (TCP destination
ports).

I guess a clarification from Cox might be useful.
