Based on PI’s 30 years of experience and inspired by the work of the <a href="https://privacyinternational.org/partners" class="">Privacy International Network</a> over the last decade to <a href="https://privacyinternational.org/campaigns/enhancing-data-protection-standards" class="">advocate for the highest data protection safeguards</a>, the guide has been developed as a tool for analysing proposed data protection laws and assessing existing legislation to identify any shortcomings and how to advocate for reform. It can also provide the basis to advocate for comprehensive, enforceable data protection laws to hold the public and private sector accountable. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">You can access the guide (and infographics) from <a href="https://privacyinternational.org/data-protection-guide" class="">this page</a> on our website and you can continue to follow our work in this area through our campaign: <a href="https://privacyinternational.org/campaigns/enhancing-data-protection-standards" class="">Enhancing Data Protection Standards.</a> The guide is currently available in English and a Spanish version will be published in the coming weeks. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">We sincerely hope that it will support the efforts of organisations already engaging on data protection and that it will encourage others to join the global campaign for effective data protection so please disseminate it widely amongst your own networks! </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks again!</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Alex</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">
