<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear all,<br><br></div><div>We are writing to inform you of the outcome of the CSCG's process for selecting candidates to nominate to the IGF MAG, in response to <a href="https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/announcement-from-mr-wu-hongbo-under-secretary-general-for-economic-and-social-affairs">UNDESA's public call for nominations</a>. This follows the email which was sent to bestbits on 06 December, to share the call for candidates and detail the CSCG's process for sending civil society rep nominations to the IGF Secretariat (candidates were evaluated by a CSCG NomCom specifically created for this purpose). <br><br>The deadline for sending nominations to the CSCG Nomcom was 09 December and from 09-16 December the NomCom deliberated. The non-voting chair of the NomCom submitted the selected nominations
to the IGF using the official IGF nomination form available on the web on 16 December. <br><br></div><div>Under the dotted line below you will find the full list of nominations received, the selection criteria and the outcome of the deliberations.<br></div><div><br>Should you have any questions about this, please do let Poncelet and I know. discussions, it was agreed that CSCG would nominate three candidates for the
MAG: Norbert Bollow, Jeremy Malcolm, and Arsene Tungali.<span> </span>The chair of the NomCom filled in the UN
nomination forms accordingly.<span> </span>The text
for each candidate was prefixed by the following: “This nomination has been
endorsed by the Civil Society Coordination Group (CSCG), on the basis of an
open process.<span> </span>Nine candidatures were
submitted for consideration and three were retained.<span> </span>CSCG is of the view that these candidates
meet the requirements to be members of MAG.”</span></p>
<p class="gmail-MsoBodyText" style="margin:6pt 0cm 0.0001pt;line-height:normal"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:"calibri",sans-serif">Following
further discussions, the following was sent to the IGF secretariat by E-Mail: “Please
note that the primary nomination from the Civil Society Coordination Group is
Mr Norbert Bollow, the secondary nomination is Mr Jeremy Malcolm, and the
tertiary nomination is Mr Arsene Tungali.<span>
</span>That is, the order of priority of our nominations is (1) Bollow, (2)
Malcolm, and (3) Tungali.</span></p>
